My 50th article on Medium
I had some other articles in my pipeline and then I realised I was about to hit 50 published articles.
This is a milestone for sure and one that many have passed before me and many will pass after me.
My articles have been on:
- Small Business
- Marketing
- Mental Health
- Cryptocurrency and more that I have the knowledge to share
Do I write for income?
Yes and no.
I can not compare the income of Medium to my day job but it has paid for a few coffees along the way. It feels good to be remunerated for the work it takes to produce content and share it.
The first payment was by far the most exciting. I can’t use the term dollars as it was only cents. :)
Who do I follow
The people I follow are the ones who have recent articles that pique my interest. They may be personal or they may be related to business, mental health or more.
I do try to follow people I am interested in but I also try to help people who need to grow their followers.
Community
Medium has proven itself a wonderful community, of people. I find myself commenting and engaging regularly with certain writers and they do likewise with my articles. You get to feel a sense of community with people you will not ever in all likelihood meet.

Keep following, keep engaging and make sure to give more than you expect to receive.
